Hqbeds offers the option to export the data of the reports to work with other programs such as excel or google spreadsheets.The file format is CSV (Comma-Separed Values), it is a text file that separates the values with commas, very used to transform large amounts of data into a single, lightweight file.
If you open this file directly in these programs the information will probably be unreadable, like the example below:
This is because we need to convert CSV data into a spreadsheet, we will show you how to do this conversion with excel programs and google sheets.
How to convert CSV file in excel
With the file open, leave the lines of the first column selected and access the Data menu option Text for Column.
In the conversion box choose the option Delimited - Characters as commas or tabs separate each field and click in Next.
In the next screen, select the Tab, Semicolon and Comma delimiters and click Next.
And to finish click on Finish.
And the file was converted to rows and columns.
Don't forget to save the file in spreadsheet type so that when you need to reopen the file it is already in the correct format!
How to convert CSV file to Google Sheets
In Google Sheets click to open a new blank spreadsheet and then click File> Import
Upload the file that is on your machine to the google sheet and on the Import File tab screen in Separator type in the Custom field fill in with the semicolon character and in the option Convert text to numbers, dates, and formulas select NO and click Import Data.
And the file was converted to rows and columns.
Don't forget to save the file in spreadsheet type so that when you need to reopen the file it is already in the correct format!
